Pearl Street Family YMCA

My son has been attending the summer camp here for the past few weeks, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with our experience. Even though we live closer to other YMCA locations, this one is absolutely worth the drive. It’s always clean, organized, and every staff member we’ve interacted with has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. As a mom, I’m very particular about who my son is around, especially while I’m at work. From day one, the staff has made me feel completely comfortable knowing he’s being cared for in a safe and positive environment. They have consistently met—and honestly exceeded—my expectations. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how excited my son is to tell me about his day. He comes home with fun stories, great memories, and he’s made new friends. It’s clear he’s having an amazing summer. I’ve also been really impressed with the communication. The weekly emails are clear and helpful, so I always know what to expect, and I’ve noticed that each week they’ve continued to improve the check-in and check-out process to make it even more efficient for families. It shows they’re always looking for ways to make the experience better. Thank you to the entire

I was here and casually witnessed an amazing and highly professional action from the new YMCA pearl Street in Tacoma. The director Faith had expertly handled a very difficult and upset member who is being very rude to everyone in the lobby. All of the staff is well represented under this amazing leader Faith. Alex and angelique in particular are very kind and excellent staff members. I'm very proud to say that my son who is interviewing here will be honored to work with an organization with leaders like Faith. Shawn Skaggs

The facilities, especially the new Aqua Center and Strength and Conditioning facility is amazing! When I swim laps, I observe the lifeguards and am impressed by their focus and professionalism. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to welcome and assist you whenever you need help. It is an inclusive place where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Finally, the classes and workshops offered are varied and appealing.

Great place for kids, adults and seniors. I walk the inside track in the winter. 12 laps = 1 mile.

I love the brand new building with expanded gym and aquatic center. Yesterday I was working out there for the first time. The equipment is so much better and there were so many beautiful people working out. I felt inspired and I can’t wait to go to the new aquatic area. They got a splash pad for little kids, a hot tub and regular swimming pool. Check out my short video to see that beauty.
